Eyelash Coverlet and Belle and Tou Tou the dogs c/o: BlaBla Kids | Elston’s cardigan

If you are not familiar with BlaBla Kids and you are a mom/dad, then you need to be. I absolutely love this company and their beautiful things that will be classic staple pieces for years to come. Part of my personality will always be present in dressing/decorating for my kids. Their knit dolls are so cute and snuggly and has a taste of old fashioned to them. There are so many, everyone has a favorite, and you can pick one out to match your nursery or your little one’s personality. BlaBla is the perfect place for a thoughtful and whimsical baby gift too.

A day at home: Toys are everywhere, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is on the tv, our dog Georgia is barking at anyone that walks by the window or her reflection, and I’m running after Jackson so he doesn’t get food on the carpet/windows/sofa/walls. These moments I wonder what alternate universe I fell into and where did my glamorous life from my 20s go? I was once someone who walked 5th Avenue on her day off on the way to Central Park for a picnic, or sped past tourists in my shoe boots and skirts on the streets of Soho on my way to dinner/drinks with friends after work. Today my big outing was piling the kids in the car at 11:50am so they could fall asleep for nap time while I went through the Starbucks drive-thru.

But a few times on those streets of NYC, I had dreamt about my future life. I knew I wanted children somewhere in the suburbs where I could take a deep breath into motherhood and be content. I look down at the two babies that made me a mommy and know that I made it there. And parts of my day can be glamorous… like I got dressed for that drive to Starbucks and I wore my sequined sweatshirt.
