This outfit is a peek into spring. I am having a huge blush pink moment and want everything in this color right now until fall. It is also a great way to wear the color pink because it is soft, feminine, and bright, but not overkill. Also, I want to quickly talk about how affordable and easy this outfit is, allowing you to go into spring with some staple items that are realistic to create. I hopped on the peplum train long ago, and it’s a style still hanging around that I really think doesn’t get played up enough. Anyone can wear a peplum silhouette in some sense, whether it is a top, a sweater, cardigan, or loose fitting tunic. This one is perfect and Gap literally has sales all the time. Let’s talk about these jeans, I’ve become obsessed with Old Navy jeans! They fit amazing, are the perfect rise, they have a million colors, and are also always an amazing price. Lastly the shoes are my favorite color right now, especially to accent with, and I’m picky on how my heels are shaped. I like the heel part to be straight off the very back of the shoe, as opposed to a little forward from the heel (here just for example). I know it sounds crazy, but it actually gives the leg a better look, not in all cases, but most of the time in a pump, yes. And my raspberry ones were $12, just from me popping into consignment stores every now and then. I love consignment especially for big ticket items because of the stories and places the items have been. My fur coat has an embroidered name in the inside, and I imagine it to have belonged to a glamorous Spanish woman who wore it to galas in the 1960’s… I mean, who knows.

Happy Thursday! This post was supposed to be earlier in the week, but life got crazy with Georgia ice storms, non-sleeping babies, and work!

Also, my girlscout cookies are here today, so this is the best day ever.

xo, Mireille
