It’s that time of year for wide-brimmed hats, vibrant colors, dresses, and picnics. In celebration of this month’s Steeplechase horse race event in Georgia and this past weekend’s Kentucky Derby, I teamed up with Shabby Apple for the occasion! What I love about their collection is the selection of glamorous dresses that have an old-timey feel. They offer the ever popular tulle skirts (I love the waist bands on these more than any other brand), really cool full skirts that you can dress up or down, and huge assortment of vibrant dresses. They also are a perfect place to go for bridesmaid dresses.

Something missing from dresses in stores and boutiques these days are the classic glamour in a dress. To me, that is the whole point of wearing a dress, to feel dressy, feminine, and to find one that is unique. I was so excited when Shabby Apple reached out to me for a collaboration, because I was already a HUGE fan. I love everything on their site, the fact that they are located and do their photos in NYC, and you need to see the drop down options for dresses on this site! It’s amazing and organized for sure!

What I love about this yellow dress is the mermaid shape (one of my favorites) and the fact that it is the perfect length. Lately I’ve had so many issues finding dresses I love and them being way too short. I’m a mom now, and I don’t want to not wear a dress because it can’t fit into my lifestyle, I need to be able to bend over and have my dress fit comfortably. Seriously, if you saw my family Easter pictures on Facebook, you will understand the struggle. By the end of snapping some pictures outside, I was on my knees in pine-straw holding up my wiggly 1-year old practically upside down. Check out their site if you haven’t already, there is a dress for every occasion, and I guarantee it will be exactly what you are looking for.

Have a great Monday! xo, Mireille
