This Mommy Monday highlights a cozy weekend at home with a few things that make me feel so relaxed and love staying in on the weekends sometimes. There is finally a chill in the air, so that means sweaters and candles are all around our house (among a ton of scattered toys and other things). This brand, Coastal Salt and Soul, is a collection of artisanal bath and body products, candles, etc, that smell so good and feel clean and natural. Which is exactly what they are, they are natural sea ingredients and herbs inspired by the California coastline. Think Anthropologie by the sea… yes please. Everything is hand poured and hand packaged, making it the perfect, thoughtful gift… or even gift for your own home.

Two of my favorite places in our house is the foyer and my baby girl’s room. The foyer because I never had a foyer growing up and for some weird reason, I love them… in any house. Ours is two story, so to me, it’s my little piece of grand that I can decorate exactly how I want. I say that because the rest of the house needs to be kid friendly and is typically covered in toys.  And right now I’m into the rustic, farm house-y chic feel, so as soon as I got my Ocean Gardenia candle, it fit perfectly into my little corner of the house.

My other favorite place in the house is Elston’s room. I spent a lot of time here decorating it before she came into the world, and now it seems to be the place we as a family migrate. Jackson loves climbing in her crib and jumping around (go figure) or doing snow angels on her rug. I use this nursery WAY more than I ever did Jackson’s, we actually sit in her chair in the middle of the night and rock back to sleep. Elston also sleeps in her crib 80% of the time… I know, what a concept. But this is way more than Jackson ever did, he hated his crib and usually ended up in the bed with us halfway through the night, because I’m Just Too Tired! So with saying that, I do want to note that although these pictures are so sweet of Elston napping, she did NOT transfer to her crib. She is actually the worst transferrer I have ever met and any movement will immediately wake her up. So when she falls asleep in my arms, or nursing, her nap lasts as long as I can sit there. Which during the day with a toddler, is usually not long. But when I get the chance, I just let her and want to hold her as long as I can because I know it won’t last forever.

As usual for Mommy Mondays, I have teamed up with 4 other wonderful mommy bloggers, as we each talk about our favorite or new products. Check them out!
