I should clarify that these jeans can be considered statement because they are on-trend in style, but they can also be considered classics. The fit is absolutely amazing, I definitely wouldn’t blog about it if not! They are high rise (but really normal rise) and stretchy! They are fitted in the leg and flare out at just the right place. They are cropped and an asymmetrical ‘kick flare’, and really flatter the leg and ankle. I suggest wearing them with shoe boots or a pointed mule flat, but they can honestly be worn with anything. I splurge on jeans probably once a year, but Madewell is my go-to brand because I know the quality will last and the fit, well, fits like a glove. I’m wearing the black color (which can also kind of look dark grey) and they also come in a blue jean color. The kick flare style is huge right now, and the one thing I love about it, is that it looks so good with flats. I also love that the leg can be fitted until the actual flare part, so it doesn’t make your legs look huge.
My top is a classic fit and the color is one of the must-have colors right now. I loved this color scheme for the Brooklyn Bridge because it stands out but also blends with the movement of the city! We definitely couldn’t pass up a visit to the bridge while navigating through all our NYFW activities. We went mid-afternoon and it was packed! But the weather was perfect and I was in NY, so I didn’t care. (I usually hate all the touristy crowds, I like experiencing the other side of New York) When we walked back, I stopped at the vendors at the beginning of the bridge and found the coolest toy taxi cars for the kids. They are obsessed with cars right now, so I got two of the EXACT SAME. – because that’s where we are in life right now, haha. I was beginning to really miss them but figured they needed a taxi to add to the collection.
