The process going from super summer blonde to fall brown/gold is a long one. Right now my hair is matching my earrings… and not in a good way. I think I’ll stick to balayage from now on.

This dress is another one I’ve pulled out of my mom’s closet, grateful she saved a lot of her clothes from back in the day. I’ve gone from playing dress up in these to now wearing them as my own. They bring back memories of the smell of Chanel No. 19 and getting buried in my mom’s scarf drawer. I will always love these clothes more than anything new as they symbolize years of wear, cities, events, milestones and memories. These are the exact reasons I hold onto my favorite things even if I no longer wear them right now. If I have a daughter, she will hopefully spend years playing in them, knowing them so well, and when she wants to wear them when older, they will bring a wave of nostalgia to her fashion sense. Happy Monday!
