Wearing a jumpsuit while pregnant can be tricky, but actually a good comfortable alternative if you find the right one.

Too fitted just won’t look right and unless it’s made for maternity, probably won’t give in the places you need it to. If you go too baggy (with anything while pregnant), you run the risk of looking even bigger, and not pregnant at all. The secret to looking slimmer while still growing, is that you want to embrace the bump and have material hug that, instead of other areas. I chose this jumpsuit because it had pretty draping in the best areas. The material was very stretchy, but hugged my bump when I wanted it to. The straps were long and came low, so I paired it with a lace camisole underneath to complete the look. The legs are baggy and so comfortable, especially when jeans these days (even maternity) cut off my circulation when I sit down!

This pregnancy jumpsuit outfit and day about town was the first day I was in New York for NYFW, and a peek into the events we had that day. A big thanks to Bella Bags for letting me eat all their macarons at their event for providing us with some amazing designer bags… my choice was obvious. This corner and crosswalk is meaningful to me because it’s where I would eat lunch and dinner on my breaks when I worked in Soho. I would go get either my favorite falafel plate or a Ben’s pizza slice on the corner and go eat it on those tables next to the fence. In the Fall, all the leaves on the trees are bright yellow and it was such a cool place and corner to people watch. I love going back to visit these little pieces of time in my past. I was so excited to be in the energy of the city as what I felt like was my last hurrah for awhile!
