What To Wear To Thanksgiving

It’s so weird that this is an actual thing isn’t it? But now in the days of social media, it seems to be important more than ever so I’m here to help you out. Here is what you are going to wear to thanksgiving: something festive and a somewhat nod to fall but a little kick to ring in the holiday season!

I am loving a plaid or checked trouser pant, and these are on-trend as they are the kick flare style. I love them and this style because it’s the perfect chance to show off a great pair of shoe boots or shoes, which is big this year. As I keep looking at these red sock boot shoes, I am reminded how it was one of the best shoe decisions I have ever made. They are so perfect for holiday and that something special to add to any outfit either busy or plain. But they can also be worn with nautical colors in the new year. There are a few red sock boot styles out there but these are the most comfortable and most flattering (if you don’t have a stick thin leg). I have noticed that I need my shoe boots to be lower and not cut me off at the calf, so I opted for a lower one. The heel is perfect too making the wear on these really comfortable and able to walk in them, being able to realistically wear them with my kids. If you are considering a statement shoe, the sock boot is huge and a red sock boot is the most fun statement you can make! My sweater is a great staple as far as style and color, because it can be paired with anything. I would also wear this sweater with white jeans, black jeans, and I also paired it with a pink pleated skirt here which actually became a favorite color combo of mine. My bag is Chloe via Trendlee.

I loved the thought of having bold neutrals for this outfit and then a nice pop of holiday color with the red sock boot and the red tassel earrings. These are Lisi Lerch and hands down my favorite statement earring of all time. More on these will be coming to the blog in December when my Mommy Monday group will be reviewing the brand! I wanted to choose an affordable realistic outfit for a thanksgiving option, and my personal choice is pants because I have kids and can be found either running around, climbing things after them, or doing leg push ups on the floor with them on top. I did link a few of my recommendations on what to wear for Thanksgiving festivities, and a great dress if you are more refined than I!

I hope everyone has a great weekend, I’ll be back on Monday to start with some gift guides!
