Stuck between my roots in the southern state of Georgia and heart in New York City, I decided to embrace the hybrid and relish in both. City Peach is a fashion and style blog combining all style genres, aiming to celebrate the stylish life. It highlights the down to earth girl whether she is the aspiring fashionista or mom striving to strengthen her identity. My desire is to inspire people to look, feel, and present their best in the most accessible way possible. I hope to influence someone to step outside their every day thought process in fashion, but not outside their budget or comfort zone. City Peach has two sides. A wardrobe styling service, and a blog that started it all, giving you every day inspo.
The blog was born in the summer of 2014, but had been 30 years in the making. I have loved styling clothes for as long as I can remember. From making my own Barbie clothes when younger, to college, being voted best dressed for 3 years in a row by my sorority, and getting a campus award for being ‘most influential’. I say this trivial piece of information because it’s got to give me some street cred, right? My point to always mention this is that I was a poor struggling college student and grew up with nothing, proving it is possible to look chic in anything on any budget with a little creativity!
A little bit about where I’m coming from:
During my quarter-life crisis in my 20s, I left everything I knew and moved to New York City when my life was perfect on paper... and everyone questioned my sanity. It was somewhere that had called me there all my life and I knew then that I had to go. I fell in love with the city and attribute that to a large part of my personality, (style and interest wise, but the fact that I always chase big dreams). I am inspired by vintage and thrift stores and love to incorporate old with new, unique/small business gems with big box stores or on-trend items. As a mom, I get that you are not the same person pre-baby (body or mind)… but that doesn’t mean you have to lose your sense of style! This blog has been my outlet for 7 years, and formed a community for inspiration in many forms.
Where City Peach has been:
Over the years, I have been fortunate to partner with iconic brands and sponsors, creating content that aims to inspire, spark creativity, and never lets you forget. My goal with every partnership is to bring a piece of City Peach in a sometimes cheeky, editorial feel, letting beautiful imagery tell a visual story. The content will always be genuine and speak to our everyday life which can sometimes be messy and chaotic, but also inspire an elevated feel. It’s possible to live in style, motherhood, and have both at the same time, and I am proud of the loyal readers of genuine women that the blog has built over that time. Every day outfit content aims to be educational in each season's trends, how to wear certain items, most flattering wears for every body type, where to shop, what to invest in and what to not, how to shop and style your own closet, and styling details for everything else.
