The Best Pant Option For A Dressy Occasion
Sometimes you just want to wear pants. Except the times you don’t want to wear pants which usually applies to toddlers and moms after a long day in skinny jeans. But today we are going to talk about sequin pants! These are leggings and so soft on the inside, so it’s almost like wearing pajama pants… with bling.
When I used to dress up on a regular basis (for work or going out), pants were always my first choice probably because I used to hate my legs. I always liked the way a good tailored pant fit, and would hit right at the ankle. Now, I honestly don’t care and my body insecurities are long gone and want to just wear what I love… but I still love pants when dressing up. These sequin pants are a perfect way to dress up an outfit and still be comfortable. I want to note that although they are perfect for New Year’s Eve and any dressy occasion, I also recommend them for casual. You can easily dress them down with a stylish sneaker and a v neck tee, which now that I’m thinking about it, will create this outfit and post for you soon!
This plaid shirt is a wardrobe staple and I think every blogger I know bought it on the J. Crew Factory Black Friday sale. It’s my favorite plaid because it can be worn with black pants or a skirt, or jeans. You can make it super dressy, or keep it casual with sweaters. It is my go-to recommendation for a winter time plaid and you will wear it every year… and it’s great for Christmas! The shoes I chose for this outfit are probably not my favorite and I realize that now. I would probably wear black patent heels (and would like to style a mary jane style with this outfit) to make more of a bold statement. Also if you are looking to recreate this look, you can also do a regular crew neck sweater and layer a blingy necklace on top of the plaid as a finishing touch.
