Cozy At Home With Dove And The Three Colors To Wear Right Now
As a mommy of two crazies energetic toddlers, I have to find products for myself that don’t require a lot of hassle or inconvenience. Today we are going to talk about deodorant. Why? Because I have been using my husband Robert’s deodorant for about two years now and it came the time that I needed my own. I am still nursing and I realize I need something made for me, that will be softer and more catering to my skin. I have actually thought twice about applying his because it can get too close to Elston. At the time, I felt like it was the only thing that worked. And it’s not that I needed major protection from odor… my issue was that I would cold sweat and I needed to stay dry and moisturized. My hormones are still out of whack so I needed to find something else and stop pretending I have man-underarms. That brought me to Dove Advanced Care. It’s nothing new to our house, as I have been using Dove products for years. I chose this one because Dove Advanced Care Antiperspirant offers 48 hours of odor and wetness protection (I needed this the most) plus added skincare benefits with its NutriumMoisture formula and Dove ¼ moisturizers for softer, smoother underarms. When it comes to researching products and brands, I definitely do my homework. My kids don’t wear or eat anything without my thoroughly inspecting it and it’s ingredients.
Two reviews of this product that helped convince me to make the switch:
- “Love how Dove goes on smooth and doesn’t irritate the skin. Smells wonderful and works continuously throughout the day!” – melloddie
- “This deodorant is amazing. The smell is so gentle and it goes on smooth and is making my armpits softer. It lasts all day into the next.” – nuthegreat
These spoke to me because of what exactly I look for in a deodorant. I look for something gentle that doesn’t smell like deodorant that will actually work. And although I will invest in a good handbag/shoes/lashes, I do need to make sure what we use on an every day basis is practical and easy. Also, another plus is that this doesn’t get on my clothes or ruin them. I hate when I have deodorant marks or even a strong scent under the arms from the product.
I will leave you with this week’s style tip, that will hopefully help you navigate any purchasing impulses. As you might know, I love bright colors. These next few winter months are the time to wear bright white pastels. The three colors you need to be wearing right now are white (that’s a given if you read my blog on the reg), light pink, and light grey. These look really good in a soft or chunky sweater with either white or light grey jeans. This is a great transition into springtime and for chilly days before it starts warming up, and a good alternative to the dark colors we all wear in the Nov/Dec winter months.

This weekend we stayed cozy in our pajamas and tried to just lay low. Elston is getting over her first major sickness. She somehow got strep throat and we are all holding our breath on the rest of us… so far so good! The kids played so well together, and Robert and I worked on a really special family project we have coming up to share with you, very soon!!!
Happy Monday!
