When planning your wardrobe for fall, it helps to go with staple items that can either go all together, or be incorporated into your existing fall wardrobe. This week I am doing a blog series that will highlight a few select items and the amount of outfits we can get out of them. I partnered with North Georgia Premium Outlets (you can find the Simon Center outlets in your state for the best deals) to be completely cost effective and get the most for your money, and still completely on trend! I honestly couldn’t believe the deals that I got with some of my favorite brands. That sounds so contrived, but I’m serious! When I went, the entire Gap Factory store was 50% off! And most of the stores have amazing holiday deals, so it’s a great place for gifts or doing a full season wardrobe haul. I also took my kids which normally is a very scary thought and usually cannot shop with them. But Jackson enjoyed window shopping (running up to every store window and pretty much licking it, sorry Polo/American Eagle) and LOVED that they had a playground in the middle of one of the aisles. So at the end of our shopping trip he got to run and climb around, and we could get in the car and head home with energy burned!
Today’s outfit is part classic with a little bit of trendy. I wanted to try the crop flares so stayed safe on the top as far as nothing too trendy. I will be pairing these with shoe booties too, but they are perfect with flats to emphasize the crop. I suggest a cardigan like this that you can wear with anything this fall, either long or short sleeved. It’s a bit slouchy which I love, so I kept the underneath shirt, fitted. I stuck with the same few colors, but played around with patterns with the striped top, necklace, and snake pattern shoes. This necklace will be something worn all winter over all my layers, I’m obsessed with J. Crew’s jewelry, and this one is $25!
Throughout the week, I will be mixing and matching the must-have pieces to show that with a little bit of planning, you can get so many fall wardrobe outfits while spending the least amount. All you need is a little creativity and direction, and of course, know where to shop!
