The Embroidered Leather Jacket
There’s an embroidery trend out there, have you hopped on the train yet? If not, there are a ton of ways to wear it and not look like a table linen from 1970. Even Anthropologie has hopped on board and has a ton of embroidered and embellished denim that are all gorgeous! One of my favorites right now is the embroidered leather jacket because of the statement that it makes. I love any kind of moto jacket that fits well in the arms and completes an outfit. There are a few styles out there and brands that are doing the embroidered leather jacket, with all different price points. The first one you might have seen came to us during the Nordstrom anniversary sale. The black is great, I found one on sale too, but the color white in general is the color I love to wear and am always drawn to. So I found two options for you, and have them all in my ‘shop the post’ below!
You can wear a leather jacket with anything from sweater dresses, to just a tee and jeans. It can be the last layer to complete an outfit, or it can be THE layer that makes the entire outfit dressy. Make sure you pick on that is fitted in the arms, this is my trick to make you look slim in a bulky jacket or a ton of layers. Don’t be afraid to take risks with your outer layers. This is the place you can have fun with an outfit, and always stay conservative or plain with your basic layers like jeans and a tee shirt! I would snap this jacket up because you will be able to wear it all winter, and into the spring while the weather is still chilly.
Before I leave you for today, I have to debut my shoes for you because I haven’t been this obsessed with a shoe like this in a while. I eyed these for about 2 months before I made the plunge and purchased them. This means it’s meant to be because I kept thinking about them. They come in blush, black, AND white, and I literally want them all. They are perfectly on trend with the pearl detail, but definitely can pass as classic because of the front tassels and loafer feel. They are kind of like the mullet of shoes, but they are so chic! If you do get them, here is my warning: they took a good 3 days to break in! They gave me blisters and needed to be walked in before becoming perfectly comfortable. They also run small, so I am a normal size 8 and I ordered the 8.5.
