Finding The Perfect Fur Vest
Is the fur vest still ‘IN’? The answer is yes, it is. It has evolved a little in that it used to be that they all looked the same, and the safe way to wear one was the brown one. Now, any color goes, and sometimes the crazier, the better! It’s a great option to throw over a dress, long or short, to break it up a little, or to just stay warm. I mean, sometimes practicality can win too! I have tried many out there, and so many work! I love one that’s a little bit longer, because it looks more complete regardless of what you wear underneath. But I also still like it to be fitted, so I get my true size, which is smaller on top than I would get for a winter coat. And when it comes to what to wear it with, you have a lot of choices. So like I said above, you can pair with with a long maxi dress, a midi skirt, or a short dress like I’m wearing below. It’s perfect with a plaid shirt and jeans (short or high boots), and will always go with a turtleneck. You can still wear it with anything!
With this Vici Collection dress and fur vest, I stayed within a neutral color palette, then added a statement over the knee boot. I love these and have worn mine for years. I go into detail on them in THIS POST earlier this week. This dress is actually a little out of my comfort zone in that I don’t typically wear boho/70’s vibes in dresses, OR shorter dresses, but I did love the look. And sometimes I like to dress outside my comfort zone, which is something I encourage you guys to do too!
