Getting The Most Use Out Of A Staple Dress
I love a good staple dress like this one, and I usually scout out any kind of flattering midi dress, so this is a personal favorite! The front snaps are a really cute detail and the length is great for any body type. When I blogged about it HERE with a few layers, I talked about how it’s a great piece to take into all the seasons. Although I did shoot this in the cold hence the snow, this is a great option to wear it as a high waist skirt when the temps get a little warmer! You will also be able to take this dress well into summer and wear it with bare arms and just play up fun and colorful accessories! When looking for a midi dress that is flattering, there is a common misconception that I’ve seen people have about wearing them. There are a ton of dresses out there that are considered a midi dress, but the length only goes to the knee, cuts the knee in half which is not flattering, or goes right below it. I personally like my midi dress to go to the middle of my calf and always look for that. If I ever shop on ASOS and see a long dress that I like, I will see if it comes in a Tall version because then I know it will hit long enough. Just a little tip when looking for the perfect midi dress! I styled this one with a heel because I like the dressed up look, but flats will definitely work when the weather is warmer. Imagine a flat strappy sandal in a red or camel color!
Luckily this midi is $45 and worth that if you are going to wear it for the next year! I hope this gives you a few ideas for now, and I will be back with it in the Spring to show you how to wear it with warm weather! You can shop this look below the pictures in my ‘shop the post’ widget!
I am headed to NYFW this Friday, so make sure you are following along on my Instastories… it’s always a fun time to see behind the scenes of shows, my New York favorites, or just craziness in general. If you have any suggestions or things you want to see, send me an email, I would love to hear from you!
