Adding a Letter: Valentine’s Charms and Great Mommy and Me Jewelry Ideas
I love my James Avery charm bracelet; and thought this was the perfect opportunity to talk charms… just in time for Valentine’s Day. This post is so special to me, not only because I love James Avery and have for years, but for two different reasons. I am adding an initial charm to my bracelet for the new baby! And then to make Elston feel special, I got her her very own bracelet to start building for years to come. I did a post with James Avery last year and accessorized my NYFW with them, check out the chic street style post HERE.
I love doing things that are mommy and me, where we can having matching items because it makes her feel so special and she loves it. I wanted to start off with her name initial, and then add something she loves. Which most nights as we are putting Elston down, it’s usually a struggle and she is upset because it’s hard for her to go right to sleep. So I have things to talk to her about, and one of the things we do is list things that make her happy and we talk about it. One of the things she usually says is unicorns. James Avery had a really cute one, so I added that to her new charm bracelet. I remember mine from growing up, and it was special to get a new charm for certain special occasions or milestones. I picked out the heart link one for her, it’s dainty enough, but still a great traditional charm bracelet.
James Avery Charm Bracelet
My charm bracelet is one that I started building last year, you might remember THIS POST from last year. This year in adding the kids’ initials, it was really special to be adding our third initial. Which is crazy to me, because we don’t know this person yet! I also am always nervous to do anything until they get here, but it was special to represent this baby. But what is more crazy, is that we picked a name! Now that we have this sterling silver charm, it’s pretty official haha! We are still keeping the gender and name under wraps for now, but there will be a big nursery reveal which will tell you guys what we are having!
For now, you might be able to make out, that as of now, our kids’ initials are J, E, …. and G!
James Avery has the best sterling silver jewelry, which is always a great beginning for little ones, I always had a ton! I love their charm bracelet selection and the have a TON of charms. There is something for basically everything! I ordered mine online, and then popped into my local store to have them attached to the bracelet. It’s nice because you can go in anytime to have your silver polished and looking new again!

Love this so much! Charm bracelets from James Avery were my mom and I’s tradition. She passed when I was 11 and the bracelets became even more precious. I just had a little girl of my own last September and plan on giving her a charm bracelet from James Avery too. And most importantly passing down my mama’s charms to add to hers over the years. Charm bracelets are so so special. I am glad other mom and daughters have this tradition too! 🙂
This is so special, and love how you can carry on the tradition in your mother’s memory. Thank you so much for sharing Raquel!
I have always loved James Avery!!! I love the new style of chain for your bracelet!
