Kimono Love

I used to hate kimonos, which I suppose is weird. Maybe because I just didn’t know what to do with them. And I always felt like they fell off so easily. I certainly don’t wear them around kids very much because that is just too much fabric and my kids don’t know how to not climb on me! But when I saw this one, I fell in love! There was just something so special about this kimono that made me love them in general. I absolutely love them for pregnancy, which you have a baby bump and wear a tight fitting dress, then layer a kimono on top of it. But for every day life, I love pairing a kimono with a head to toe color like I did here with my favorite white jeans. I would normally belt the kimono, but figured this one just didn’t need that because the star of this show is the sleeves.

I decided this outfit needed white for summer, but I will also pair this kimono with a black top and jeans, and either a black strappy sandal or my grey wedges again. In the summer, I am pretty committed to wearing this bralette and have just pretty much done away with bras. I don’t need one and I definitely don’t need an underwire. Obviously if you need a bra, try to go with cotton, my favorite ones are from Target and are underwire free. But If you can get away with it, these bralettes can hold you in nicely and go under any kind of tank top, jumpsuit, or romper. It is comfortable and pretty so if it peeks out, just make it part of the outfit, and it comes in about 10 different colors!
