The Mart Market Week: The Layout and My Favorite Showrooms
I’ve been asked a ton about my favorite showrooms at Atlanta’s Apparel Mart. I of course have favorites, and for different reasons. There are those I’m close with that is extremely understanding of what I’m doing and lets me pull merchandise, and is just overall easy to work with. Then there are favorites I have that aren’t always necessarily easy to work with, but love what they carry. I’m asked often by buyers of boutiques, and I know they want my opinion on that kind of stuff. But I’m not looking at it from pricing, wholesale orders, staff, kind of way. So I understand when boutiques and buyers need decently priced items, or have a specific demographic they are selling to. I figured I would list my favorites anyway, just overall. You know my style, so it runs consistent with the ones I like there. I also appreciate the ‘temps’ (Temporaries) which are a little lower in price, and clothing brand/quality, but they aren’t something that are investment pieces to me. These are the ‘trendier’ items that you see in boutiques like Dress Up, Fabrik, or Red Dress Boutique. The ‘Perms’ which is just short for Permanents because they have showrooms that are their own in the building.
Here are a few of my favorites that I pull from for my shows and model demos. I do get questions asking if a regular person without a shop, can come shop/purchase. Most of these are just wholesale orders. However, you can come shop the Atlanta Apparel Mart when it’s not market, and there are a few floors labeled ‘Cash and Carry’, that you can make single purchases. Golden Stella is one of them, and there are a few others on floors 6 and 7. And then if you want to shop fine jewelry, you can do that as well! You just have to make an appointment with the jewelry store, and they will register your name so you can get in the building. All other shopping inquiries, you can contact registration to get your pass in!

Paula and Michael Hyman
Uncommon Fashion – a favorite of mine
Ambrosia and Co. – they house brands I love like Lilla P, Abbey Glass, and a few more abstract ones. Some lines are a bit older for my style, and they do carry suiting, but it’s always a happening place.
Reeves and Company
Ward & Ward
Lori Veith – some old lady styles, also some funky European brands and styles, great hats!
8th Story
English Factory/Endless Rose
The Remedy Group
French Connection NY

Golden Stella is like the mecca for jewelry, they have everything!
Then with the temporaries, there can be new lines and exhibitors all the time. A lot of them return, and some brands pop up from market to market. A few brands I love that have spots are: Jeffrey Campbell, Matisse Footwear, Gracia, Molly Bracken, Skies are Blue, Current Air, Wishlist
I hope this helps if you ever need some names to start with if you’re a buyer or boutique owner. I love the energy and atmosphere of Atlanta’s Apparel Mart and it makes me so happy to be there.
