Happy Memorial Day Weekend! This is typically the kick-off to summer and a warmer style of dressing. I figured I would do something a little different than just red, white, and blue. I am really into this melon color and love anything navy… you can never go wrong with navy! When dressing for this weekend, you don’t have to search your closet for reds, try a pastel with all shades of blue. You will still look patriotic yet super stylish. Polka dots are always great for summer and I found a few short options since the ones I’m wearing are older. And this will also be an outfit theme you can wear all summer and especially for 4th of July. Normally I would wear an off the shoulder top with jeans, but since this one is cropped, a high waist short made the most sense. I usually live by the rule, less on top, more on the bottom, and less on the bottom, go more conservative on top. But the off the shoulder top has coverage and can look flowy enought to where you can wear a short on the bottom and still look classy and not exactly boho beach… unless you want to go for that look! I just can’t right now while I’m chasing my kids/running down the street after a diapered 2 year old/or trying to nurse in the middle of a play ground… that just doesn’t work for me now. P.S. if you’re wondering where my hair is going… so am I. #lifeafterpregnancy

What are YOU doing this weekend? We are laying somewhat low, baby E got her 4 month shots on Friday and has been not feeling well. We are going to attempt the pool with Jackson and then have a neighborhood cookout! We love vegging around the house and neighborhood. I mean, that’s what we came to the ‘burbs for!

I’ve also been asked out bag/clutch options and what would be something to invest in.
