Mommy Monday with Abbey Glass
You have heard me talk about Atlanta designer Abbey Glass before, and I have teamed up with her for the Mommy Monday series that I run with a few of my blogger gals. We have all chosen a few of our favorite pieces from her Spring 2017 collection to style. I absolutely love the detailing that she puts on pieces. Her style is a feminine chic, yet different twist on classic silhouettes. The top I’m wearing here is so fun, the ruffles are so perfectly placed. All Abbey Glass designs fit like a glove! I love this material, and the dotted cotton fabric is perfect for spring. I wore it with winter accessories and a leather jacket now, and can pair it with blue jeans or maybe a denim short for warmer weather. My leather jacket is older, but is an item that is worth investing in because you can wear it through many seasons. I am really into the suede jackets at Nordstrom right now, you can definitely wear that into spring. The leather jacket I linked at the bottom is a really good one, but there is nothing like real leather!

As I was talking on snapchat today, these photos prove that with a few tricks, it’s possible to look presentable as a mom… and starting from zero. I definitely don’t get to shower every day and there are times at night that I choose falling asleep rather than showering. I also felt awful today, and have been trying to avoid strep, since both the kids ended up getting it the past two weeks. So here are my tricks: I don’t use dry shampoo, it actually makes my hair more oily. I use hairspray. It can keep my hair dry for days! Throw on one dressier item, even if the rest of you is wearing sweats. My favorite casual outfit is a pair of skinny sweatpants and a chunky knit sweater. I will always throw on a pair of earrings and a watch. You will always look finished with these two items. Right now my eyelash extensions save me, because putting on 18 coats of mascara takes forever when you have two kids that barely let you walk anywhere without someone holding your leg. So there you have it, make sure you are wearing something comfortable. Even if it’s one thing, like a casual v-neck with leather pants. Then just add earrings, a watch… and maybe some mascara and cute shoes. If all else fails, go buy some chocolate and go out in public anyway… I also do this.
