Pottery Barn Kids Toys and Decor that Are Parent Approved
Since we’ve had our playhouse, we have all been obsessed with it. The kids practically live in it, even now that the weather is cold! We just throw blankets in and snuggle up. Lately we have been having movie nights in there where Robert and I just set up our laptops and stream movies over Wifi. I mean, can I live my kids’ childhood? I set up lights all around and in it for Halloween, and now I just did the same for Christmas, which makes it much lighter out there. It makes me so happy that they have a space just for them and watch them enjoy it so much. We threw in the famous Pottery Barn Kids ‘anywhere chair’ and their sleeping bags, and they could not be happier. Jackson got a bear sleeping bag and Elston got the unicorn. Both are real sleeping bags that are so soft with faux fur, but the animal head acts as a pillow. They haven’t left these at all, they even bring them onto the trampoline. The other night we popped some popcorn and threw it in the themed bowls (they love this kind of stuff), added m&ms and milk, and had the best movie night in.
The kids’ matching pajamas are the latest holiday pjs, which I love because they are so soft and thick… sometimes hard to find in children’s pajama material. This pattern is perfect for family photos AND Pottery Barn Kids makes them in adult sizes so everyone matches!
Pottery Barn Kids has themed everything of course, but this holiday season, they’ve got some cute decor! I grabbed the star garland for the kitchen and the playhouse outside to be festive and added it alongside the lights.
I’m also asked often what my favorite kid brands are, that are also not an eyesore for the home. I repeatedly always default to Pottery Barn Kids. This is a brand I have loved for years, but actually having kids and adding a million kid things to our house, I am so appreciative of it, truly. The aesthetic is always just right, it’s appealing to them but makes a house look good. I will always go to them for decor, bedding (I did a bedding post HERE), character anything (I LOVE the way they do characters, it’s in the classiest way). I wanted to show you our new kitchen addition because I am loving it. The best part is that it looks so good in our space between the kitchen and our living room. This is important because the kids like to play in it while we cook, they like to pretend right alongside us, so why stash a toy like this in the playroom? I highly recommend all the PBK kitchens, they are gorgeous, and such a great gift. My kids have truly played with toy kitchens for years and still do… and they have always been ugly. Having this one is a win for all of us! It’s sturdy and just mature looking, I might be more excited than anyone in this family!
