My Go-To Makeup Products
I don’t normally wear makeup, so when I do, I have mastered a concoction of products. I do not claim to be a makeup connoisseur for sure, but I have found what works for me, what highlights what I want to highlight, and what will cause minimal breakouts. I did a quick ‘get ready with me’ video on instagram when I was going out with friends one weekend, aka, just an event that I am going to be wearing makeup because I wont do it all the time. I decided to round up all the products and make them easy to shop because I think some are pretty special and I’m so excited to have found them.
I found the primer on a major makeup blogger’s page and I really do think it helps minimize pores, so I like that.
The foundation Il Makiage is truly GOLD. I hate foundation more than anything and this one is so smooth, smells so good, feels light, and does exactly what you want foundation to do. Trust me on this one. And just like the website says, it will color match exactly by just filling out their quiz. You can return it if it doesn’t match, and crazily, mine matched exactly! A few other people that have messaged me since have said that theirs was a perfect match too. I have no idea how they did it, and I found this company through a facebook AD, so they are doing something right!
This blush is also a bronzer, and I like having both (efficiency haha) and just have loved Charlotte Tilbury products in general. This color has really worked for me making it pink, but still giving me a bronze-y color, as I’m just super pale naturally.
The mascara is my tried and true forever. I have been doing Lashify for my upper lashes for the past 2 years and extensions before that, but this is my mascara if I ever don’t, or want some on the bottom. I’ve been wearing it for literally 25 years, have tried all others, and will always come back to this one. It’s the only one for me!
I’m new to brow gel and this one is fine, but if anyone has a better one, let me know!
I’m really really loving this new trend of color on eyes again, I’ve seen it in editorial campaigns and major fashion shoots. I’m loving it and for me, it’s a way to have brown eyes pop and have some fun! I went into Ulta and played around with a bunch and this brand was the smoothest going on.
For lips, OMG let me tell you, this is the best lipstick I have ever seen. Again, I don’t like wearing lipstick because of how it always wears. I don’t like the line it creates, or gets flakey, or doesn’t make lips look hydrated. This one doesn’t do any of that. It goes on so smooth and beautifully, and doesn’t create any kind of creasing at all! The replenisher is so good and stays forever and the liner is the most natural I’ve seen. That little orange lipstick is a spin on Tangee, one that my mom used as a little girl, then bought me one when I was little. It’s kind of like a mood lip that is a stain more than a lipstick. I love this because you don’t worry about it coming off at all.
