Nsale 2018: The Prettiest Fall Top
You might be sick of hearing about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale by now, or maybe not. If that’s the case, please, by all means keep reading! So when the sale started, I saw a few items online, on bloggers, on instagram. But I wanted to go into store and look and try on, because that is how I truly love to shop… in person. As soon as I saw this shirt I knew it was coming home with me. Actually, so many things about it actually can sum me up in a piece of clothing. Fall colors – yes. Long sleeve and high collar – yes. Victorian button detailing – yes. A mix of patterns – yes. Bib detail – yes, I love bib shirts! No shirt could be more me! And I hope you love it too, it really is a special one. The fit I would say runs somewhat large. I am wearing a small in these photos but could probably use an XS. The width around the stomach part is somewhat a-line and flowy, so it will flatter anyone, especially after a large meal. I can imagine this top so many different ways with so many colors. Today I have it paired with these black skinny jeans, but will also wear it with blue jeans, and OF COURSE a white jean and camel booties. You can tuck it into a black leather skirt, or a taupe suede skirt. There are so many possibilities and that is what I look for in patterned pieces that are a statement. I want to make sure if you are buying such a busy top that you are getting use out of it, and hopefully I have convinced you that you can!
My black denim skinny jeans will be an item you will be seeing all week as it’s the only jeans I got from the sale, so I styled them with a few different things. I’ve been saying this on Instagram, but I am highly impressed with these jeans. I typically do not steer far from Madewell jeans, and I sometimes find a good Levi (like my white ones), but these are Kut from the Kloth and they fit like a dream!
What I look for in a jean is this:
- high waist
- ankle length (I am picky about where a jean hit the leg)
- stretchy
These have checked all the boxes!
Next from this outfit are these AMAZING M.Gemi shoes. I had the honor to be sent these for review and they are absolutely beautiful. I see why they have a heavier price point than a lot of shoes I review. They are hand crafted from Italy and the most soft suede. The heel is so comfortable, they are overall a winner and I will be wearing these sand suede pumps forever. Literally.
