NYFW: The Striped Trouser
Hi friends! As you can probably see, I am hammering out my NYFW outfit posts and trying to share in a timely manner and not get too far behind. Which obviously is still a balance I’m trying to work out with being a now working mom and running this blog full-time. I wanted to share all my outfits that I wore in NY and really talk about them and the ‘why’ behind them, because they were all very carefully curated!
So this trouser pant is part of the trend that is going on now in denim that is anything but boring! You’ve got your hi-lo or crazy hems going on, kick flares are huge right now, and so is the trouser/stripe down the side. I loved these at first sight and they are a great fit. The top is pretty snug and I sized up from my normal size, but the legs are somewhat of a straight leg! I also linked a more affordable option that I am loving, only in a denim, but same fit and concept as the stripe down the leg trouser. I will actually be wearing those on the blog soon as well!
My top is absolutely beautiful and one that is a classic. It will be perfect for layering in the winter, and could actually work as a tunic with a legging, OR a fishnet! Actually, on FreePeople.com right now, there’s an image with a similar lace tunic with fishnets and combat boots, and they make it look so boho and so good! My gorgeous bag is one we all carried and shared for the week courtesy of Trendlee (more info coming soon!) and Brittany (of Loverly Grey) actually ended up purchasing! It was a pre-owned Chloe and in amazing condition! I’ve already been gushing about these shoes for about a month, and they are definitely a must-have on the trend list. The only thing is that they do kind of hurt after awhile, which is so weird because they shouldn’t. They are flat enough and don’t hurt the arch or ball, but pinch a little at the heel and sides. I would recommend using inserts (just refer to this post!). You can shop all outfit details below!
