One Skirt, Two Ways
As we are transitioning our minds and our wardrobes into Fall, there are a few ways to dress with that in mind, while in the heat of the summer. This layered look is one of them and one most people can get behind. If you don’t have a closet full of plaid, are you even human, jk jk, try out a few different styles and colors that appeal to you. Light colored plaids are great for right now, worn tied or open like I did, and with shorts or skirts! Then later, they are perfect to layer beneath sweaters or other shirts. This metallic skirt is a must-have! It’s a little out there, but you will be seeing it everywhere soon! I have even seen one at Anthro (on-sale, but S and M are still in stock: see below) as well as a ton of specialty boutiques. If you are scared to try a metallic skirt, do so in something a little more conservative, like a midi length or even just one with a shimmer. My metallic skirt is kind of mini, but the perfect length as it’s not too short. The style will carry me into fall and winter, especially holiday season! You can always pair it with a white tee to stay casual, plaid for a preppy look, or a cable sweater or structured shirt for a more elevated look. You cannot go wrong with a metallic skirt, it’s all just in how you style it!
