Why Peach Is Always A Good Idea
Sponsored by Cheerios
Here is what I love about the peach. It’s the perfect kind of sweet when choosing a flavor. When in season, the actual fruit is the perfect summer night snack with cold ice cream. When used as a flavor, peach is the smoothest flavor of candy, a great little twist when in a smoothie, and the best color on the spectrum. Why? Because it’s subtle and soft, in taste and look; not a harsh pink and not quite orange. It’s a great color to wear on any complexion and now it’s in Cheerios! Why not? Cheerios are any mother’s staple and rite of passage in most babies lives. Cheerios have taught our children to grasp, and even chew. So this new flavor of Cheerios was dear to me for so many reasons, but aside from all of the stylish nostalgia, they are honestly delicious! They are made with pureed peaches which tastes just as good as it sounds! The limited edition gluten-free cereal will be available in stores starting this month!
In addition to eating these Peach Cheerios with milk (which is honestly one of my favorite late night nursing snacks), I have a tasty little recipe for you if you want something sweet and fun. I had originally made these dumplings with apples but switched to peaches for a different taste. They are perfect for baby or wedding showers, afternoon parties, brunch, or late night snacks. Adding the Peach Cheerios gives them a little kick and also a crunch, also adding texture once the peach and crescent are baked. For an extra little treat, serve with a side of vanilla ice cream while hot, they are so good! You can find the recipe below along with our cooking adventure!
I started out like most times cooking with kids, in letting them taste the ingredients. They loved them and were so cute wanting to help mommy in the kitchen. I often try to limit the kids’ sugar intake so small things like Peach Cheerios or cereal is a great substitute for other sweets. You can check out the recipe, our afternoon baking session, and shop my outfit all below!
