If you can name this movie, we are soulmates! Hint: most girls have seen it and know THE yellow dress very well. I’d say it’s somewhat outdated when talking about diamonds. As I’ve grown older, diamonds have just become something that is every woman’s right to own, whomever they are from. There is huge news, they have a new location by the Avalon in Alpharetta! Everyone in the suburbs rejoice! I know I am, because I went shopping there this week (see my stories, they are live now) AND got my ring cleaned… all within 15 miles of my house. You also must know that this location is so beautiful. It’s completely bright and modern, easy to get to, and has a set-up that is pampering for anyone. There are big screen tv’s and a bar that will serve up your favorite drink treat, so much fine jewelry and brands to choose from, and even a place you can watch your jewelry being cleaned or fixed! I’ve also gone before just to get pricing or information (because they know way more on this business than I do) and I like to do my research before taking a financial plunge like that. You can go and ask a million questions like I do, with no pressure to buy.

This week I made a visit to check out Uneek, an LA based jewelry brand whose founder, Benjamin Javaheri, is the most awarded jewelry designer in the industry. That alone intrigued me to check it out! The designing combines contemporary American design with old-world metalsmithing and stone-setting… those two things are a dream when it comes to a piece of jewelry and exactly what I love. You’ll see what I’m talking about in some of these styles like the teardrop necklace and matching earrings, and a few of the stackable rings.
I have kind of grown into to loving just studs in my ears for every day life, and you will see these appear classic, but up close have a gorgeous little detailing around the diamond, making them really different and special.

Diamonds are always something that you can add when celebrating milestones in life, and is my go-to when considering everything. Most of us start out with the engagement ring/diamond, then the wedding band, groom’s band. We might go back for an anniversary band or even family heirloom resetting. Then as we grow, we will possibly consider push presents or just anniversary milestones. I love the idea of changing things up or adding to your collection.
