Spring Outfitting: From Work To Play

I love doing these posts and I don’t do them enough! I wanted to show a springy outfit that would be appropriate for work or business casual, and then an easy way to transition a few of those pieces into something more casual. I love the thought of using certain pieces for completely different looks or outings. I did this today with a look that I put together for Simon Malls through an instagram partnership that goes live today. I normally run to the same stores when I visit the mall because I know what I love. But then there are times I just like to leisurely walk around and see what catches my eye. This time, I knew I would love the spring things in Zara (of course) and J. Crew. I started out with an outfit with a workwear feel because I feel like there isn’t enough inspo or ideas for what to wear when it’s hot out, but you still are going into an office, or even a professional lunch. This is something I personally think about and struggle with because I hate the hot weather so much, and here in Georgia it’s so humid, you want to be comfortable. So I picked things that would be lightweight and flow.

I fell in love with this long white vest when I saw it and have actually wanted something like this for awhile. I think this vest is very spring/summer and can be very simple and fun, but also make any outfit workwear professional. It’s perfect when it’s super hot in the summer and you need to still wear work clothes. I will also pair it with jeans or a slip dress! As far as these pants, you know I’m basically obsessed with any pants that are cropped and flowy. The matching leopard top was a fun way to make this a set and I finished it off with a pop of color belt.

The casual version of this outfit includes a graphic tee because I love pairing them with dressier items. You can wear this after work, out with friends, or even a weekend festival. I wanted to show you the outfit with and without the vest, but keep the accessories the same. This Zara bag is the cutest summer bag and beading/hard bags are so in right now.
