Statement Maxi Skirt On The Brooklyn Bridge
This year during NYFW, I decided to do Brooklyn Bridge at Sunrise and wear my current favorite statement maxi skirt. It’s definitely something to do once, because having lived in NY, and been on the bridge plenty of times, there is truly something incredible about being there at sunrise. This time, we went on a Saturday morning, so getting down there was actually peaceful. There was not any traffic down around the entrance on the Manhattan side, so taking an Uber down there was smooth and quick. We got there around 7am, I think, Naomi was really the one keeping track of time… I just came along to show up haha. (I am not a morning person) The bridge was not deserted, but it was nice and calm. Usually by midday, it’s extremely crowded and the sun is right overhead. That morning light as the sun was rising, gave the bridge a completely different feel. That’s why I recommend seeing it at this time at least once!
My outfit was definitely one from pieces hanging out in my closet, all favorites. This jacket has always been one of my favorites. It’s the perfect cropped jacket, very well made, and only $29! My Buru skirt is not available anymore, but you never know, sometimes things come back! I wore my Vans for comfort, and actually wore jeans under this skirt b/c it was chilly and I didn’t want to deal with crushing the skirt in a cab! I had everyone asking about this rhinestone headband… it’s from Zara! Their site is not that shopper friendly, but I also ended up seeing an even bigger one with clear rhinestones that I liked even better! So, I’m over this one, haha!
