Summer Date Night

There is something about summer dates that can be really magical. Maybe it takes you back to when you were in your teens because that’s kind of when magic did happen; in the summers. You gained a little freedom, felt bronzed and fabulous, ruled the movie theater hang outs, and the world was your oyster. Well, that’s how date night kind of feels as an adult when you get a few moments away from the kids and get out. I kind of forget how fun date night can be until we actually get to go on one! Sometimes we are so wrapped up in toddler life, schedules, and routine, that we literally forget we can get a babysitter and go out!

One hot night in Atlanta, that is exactly what we did. We grabbed some friends and told them we were going to have some fun! Here in Atlanta, we have a place called Ponce City Market which is an old factory made into a ton of restaurants and shops. It has amazing food and one of a kind restaurants (this night was pre-Keto). Up 10 stories on the roof overlooking the Atlanta skyline, is a carnival type park and just the perfect place for a date night. I’m not much of a drinker so my treat is a soda every now and then, and Dr. Pepper has always been my go-to, even since I was young!

Let’s talk outfitting really quickly! If you are looking for a great date night outfit, my suggestion is to wear your favorite things that you just can’t wear around kids haha! In this case, it was my 2-tone shoes. Since we were at a game night type place, I made sure to wear pants, but instead of basic white jeans, I opted for something different and cute. I stayed cool in a drapey white tank and my favorite bralette which is a staple this summer because it’s cotton and so comfortable. You know I had to add my all-time favorite hair accessory!
