The Infiniti QX80: Luxury for the Stylish Mom
Weirdly, I love doing car reviews. But I guess in a non-car tech kind of way? I just love test driving everything out there and talking about what’s great about it, what fits into a parenthood lifestyle, and what I would want personally. So I’ll start by saying I will continue to do them because I like it, and I also am grateful to be able to take different cars on our family trips. That being said… my review of the Infiniti QX10 is unlike all the others. This. Is. My. Dream. Car. I could just end this post right now because I love this car so much and it WILL be my next car, I hope in the near future.
Infiniti QX80
When it comes to pricing, you are stepping up a level into luxury vehicles, but having driven many types of cars in my years, and even absolutely loving my current car now, this is worth it. You are paying for these items that do make a difference in how this car drives. And truly, I would want to invest in a few year old Infiniti than a brand new something else, where the prices would most likely end of being similar.
A few things I noted in my stories while we were on our Florida trip, is that you need to use Premium gas, and maintenance will most likely be more than a standard car. If you want luxury, you need to take care of it.
But, I do want to tell you all about it because I am just so impressed and in love with a car, which is something I never saw myself saying. The Infiniti Qx80 drives with fully independent front and rear suspension. This gives the wheels a full range of motion when on any kind of road, ultimately creating a really smooth ride. I needed to know why/how it was so smooth, so this is interesting for me to know, and not too technical when it comes to car stuff. There are also air springs in the rear as opposed to coils, which most cars have. The breaking experience was probably my favorite thing that I noticed. It was so smooth to break and made it easy on not only the driver, but everyone else in the car. Coming from someone who has been carsick their entire life, this is huge for me. Elston also gets extremely carsick and she was not at all phased in busy Atlanta traffic on our way home.
The leather on the inside is also top notch, and just incredibly smooth, along with detailing like braided stitching, and even holes for air conditioned seats. There is a 3rd row option, which is what we need for our family these days with all our carseats, and even with that, the trunk space is decent. The size is exactly what I’m used to with my Chevy Tahoe, as well as being up high, which is something I love. I don’t think I can ever go back to a low car… at least with kids.
Overall, there will be features you can find in most new cars right now, but nothing that I have driven, has come close to the Infiniti Qx80. I will probably forever want to review Infinities, and we all know this will be my next car. If you have the chance to test drive one, whether it’s for serious shopping or for fun, you will see what I’m raving about. Also, be careful, because you will never want to go back to anything else!
