The Many Ways to Wear A Sequin Skirt

We’re going to end the week with sequins… could there be a better way? Well, some people might disagree and want to end in sweats. But I believe in dressing for the feeling you want (kind of like job you want). I know that I feel lazy if I stay in pajamas all day, so I tend to look for outfits that make me feel fabulous. I love a sequin skirt, everyone needs at least one. It will just make you feel good, and it’s so fun to look at. It always looks good in photos. And you know, it doesn’t show every imperfection.

A sequin skirt will always be in style… at least for my foreseeable future. I personally like a pencil skirt, but I do have a shorter sequin skirt that I wear with tights. There are a few different ways to wear one, and today I’m showing you two. My most favorite way, is with a graphic tee. This way, you can wear it in the summer if you have a dressier event, yet it’s still casual because it’s summer, and comfortable because you’ve got a tee! In chillier months, you can layer a blazer or cropped jacket over the tee. I love the thought of a tee tucked in, and graphic tees are so fun, but even my favorite madewell wisper tees would work!

This sequin skirt is from VICI and I styled it two different ways that are a little more dressy. I was thinking for the office, pair it with a white oxford button down. That is always classic, yet the sequins brighten up the day. Since it’s a pencil length, it’s still professional. You know I would wear this to any office, so don’t be scared!

I then wanted to show this skirt with a simple sweater, and this was a favorite of mine this winter. I paired it all with a really fun strappy sandal. They are so so cute, but sadly too high to wear around my kids at all… or talk walk far. lol. So maybe just for special events.
