The New ‘It’ Jean
What. am. I. talking. about. Well, there’s a new jean style in town and it’s awesome. It involves pleating and a high waist, so I’m in. I’ve seen a few high waist jeans starting to pop up in stores, some are actual denim material like these white ones I’m wearing, and some are a little softer. I love the fit though because with high waist, you can move and feel comfortable wearing the crop shirt trend. This new jean is pretty much taking on the ‘paper bag’ pant style, which is a few pleats and ruffles on a high waist, and sometimes a tie. But I definitely urge you to try it. The only body type I would just say be careful if you try it, is if you have a completely flat bootie (no shame, everyone is different). But just a warning because this style might accentuate it instead of rounding it out more like a regular style jean would give you.
Today, my outfit is a perfect spring neutral option that you can wear in these warmer days on the weekends, to a brunch, or even to work. For work wear, just throw a blazer or light jacket over it. I love these high waist jeans because the material is thick, where it’s not see through, but light enough to feel just fine on a warmer day. I think the fit is very flattering because of where it hits on the waist. As far as the turtleneck tank, this look is very chic and to me, can be very french.
