The Shoe That Will Never Let You Down: A Foolproof Way To Look Chic
The shoe that will always be a good solution, alternative, or best choice. The shoe that will without a doubt elongate your legs, I don’t care who you are. The shoe that goes with everything. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. The nude pump can do no wrong. But you have to do it right.
A few tips for rocking nude pumps and you will be set for life:
-Make sure the heel goes straight down from the heel of your foot. This makes your leg look longer, and really, it just looks more chic. I am saying this in contrast to those heels that sort of do an S shape and the heel starts closer to the arch of your foot rather than the very back of your heel. I know this sounds crazy and really detailed, but I will not wear a heel that curves. I like it straight and tall!
-Do not wear a round toe, pointed is best. I have seen a few brands that are kind of ovalish, and the verdict is still out for that, because it can work, especially for the office. But it’s not my first choice, and it’s not going to scream ‘chic’. I’m serious folks, just trust me.
-Make sure the opening of the pump is not too high on your foot, it just looks bad. Most good brands (not cheapo… and yes, you can get one at reasonable prices, just probably not $15 reasonable) will have the opening just right… right where your toes start, and not a bit above.
-Wear them with white ankle jeans for a full elongated effect
-Wear them with any color dress, a good choice for the season would be a blush pink. It helps keep the outfit neutral all the way down and doesn’t cut you off. Add a red lip and you are festive!
-If you are feeling frumpy and tired, wear this: skinny jeans, v-neck drapey tee, blazer, nude pumps. I promise this is the chicest outfit and you don’t even have to try that hard
-You can wear nude pumps every single season. Isn’t that the best investment reason ever?!
-Nude pumps are my mecca and my number one style tip for looking chic! Go getcha self a pair!

So while we are on the topic of can’t-live-without shoes, let’s talk about baby moccasins. I knew about Freshly Picked before kids, and I definitely love supporting entrepreneurs, but I did not realize how amazing these moccs were compared to others. I’ve told you before that I’ve tried a few on Etsy shops, and they honestly don’t compare. The leather with FP is like butter! They are so soft and absolutely adorable. They do run sales from time to time, and I do advise sizing up. That way you can get about a year of use in them. I think we should be able to wear these until summer at least! And once they start growing, it’s not like with a hard shoe it will begin to hurt them as it gets smaller. The leather will stretch with them to get some use out of it for sure. I would check them out if you are considering baby moccasins. The only advice I do have for a mom or new mom, is there is no need to buy them until they are in a size 3. I found that is when Elston’s foot stopped growing as fast. Since we are slowing down a little bit, not a ton trust me, we will be able to get use out of the next few sizes! And you better believe me, I can’t wait to get her into a pair of Hunter’s… but let’s not get cray.
Thank you for stopping by! I am off to get some grocery shopping done while I have one kid and might even be able to see things in the store as opposed to blindly throwing everything in and keeping up with a toddler hiding under the wet floor cones. Also, Elston woke up 13 times last night… so I hope your psyche is going better than mine! Oh, and I just ate a smashed pear off my baby’s chest because I didn’t want to just get up and go to the kitchen (I’m on the playroom floor).
Love Love Love!!!!! Thanks for the tip
