The Shorts Of The Summer!
In the words of Andy Cohen claiming Carly Rae Jepson’s ‘Cut To The Feeling’ as last summer’s song of the summer, I am proclaiming these to be the shorts of the summer! If you are thinking this is extremely random, visit my IG stories this morning and then you won’t think it’s as random.
You might know that I am literally obsessed with the paperbag pant which is the trend right now. It’s high waist, has pleats, and sometimes has a tie or bow. Well, thank goodness they created paper bag style shorts because I am all about this. This style for a short is perfect for any body type in my opinion and can be worn as casual OR can be a dressy way to wear shorts! I love a high waist with anything, but especially shorts since I’m not the biggest fan of a short. The high waist helps flatter the tummy and the legs at the same time. You also don’t have to worry about muffin top or pulling at them when you’re on the move. You can wear these with a cropped shirt or tank which I will probably do when we are on vacation or when it’s extremely hot in the summer. For now, I paired them with my favorite white tee and then just added summer accessories. I’m wearing the blogger favorite wedges that everyone loves, and a great round bag that everyone should have for summer. Mine is $39 and pretty sturdy!
