The Spring Edit: My top picks for everything this Spring
A few times a year, I will do a roundup of some of my favorite things. I don’t do it all the time because it’s somewhat time consuming, but I mainly, I don’t love everything all the time. I usually have favorites each season, and I want to make sure my recommendations to you are the special items I really love and would buy myself.
I’ve been scouring the internet this past month and saving items that really stood out to me, or things I’ve personally bought myself for this Spring season. The major trends right now are clear, and I’ve found some great examples… some investment items that are pricier, and others should fall in the middle, with some really good affordable Shein items in there too. What I’m loving and seeing this Spring are the following:
- micro-florals of all kinds. Find a pattern you love and wear it!
- princess sleeves (post coming soon on this)
- mini bags of different textures (straw, rattan/wicker, pearls, beading)
- rattan anything and everything (like the antique chairs)
- mules (the shoe)
- patterned/floral jeans and pants
- long floral dresses
- hair barrettes and headbands
- wide belts are back
- clear bags are still here
- braids
- crimped hair (I’m serious.. it’s not just me)
- round bags
- oval shaped toe shoes
- long dresses in general
- mom jeans and mom shorts (ie: super high rise… thank god)
- Birkentstocks (are back)
There are a few trends that are very much here, but not really my style… and I don’t think a lot of you who follow me will be wearing this either, but here are a few just in case: bike shorts, dad sneakers, fanny packs/belt bags, see through tops, bralettes on the outside of shirts (ok, I would wear a small crop tank over a tee), cropped tops (I just can’t anymore sadly), shell jewelry.
This outfit is one of my absolute favorites. This pink accordion skirt is probably my top 5 favorite clothing item that I own. I love mixing it with so many different things every single season.
