The White Dress For Every Season
If you have followed my blog for some time, you know my favorite color to wear is white. I just love the crispness and always feel chic in it. I think the way some people just feel at home in black, this is how I feel wearing white. I wore this specific white summer dress for our Fall family photos and chose it knowing I would wear it through the seasons. It comes with a vest over it which is so cute and perfect for fall. It does have a deep v in front, but I love this option to wear a lace bralette underneath, which also makes it kind of a beachy dress too.
I wanted to show you this dress styled for spring/summer, so I just added the perfect warm weather accessories. You’ve seen this little purse that I grabbed from Target, added this summer belt (from Zara last year), and nude heeled sandals. Which are all really classic items and hopefully showing you how much use you can get out of them, with any outfit as I repeat wearing them.
So then, the scarf detail you must know about. These scarves are a friend I made in this space who started her own scarf company, CBGrey. She is the most amazing, supportive, and down to earth person, I would love it if you support her. She sent me her scarves last year and we’ve talked ever since. She doesn’t know I’m writing about them in a blog post, but I wanted to really give her the recognition she deserves. She is the hardest worker and hustling in this space. But the scarves should also speak for themselves… they are fun, they are beautiful, and completely on trend to add to everything from your hair, as a coverup, adding to a bag handle, or your neck. Check out CBGrey and follow them on instagram to stay plugged in. I added one as a headband for this white summer dress, and I am actually styling more of hers with swimwear later this month. I’ve been adding CBGrey scarves to my hair and purses since last summer and just love having a silk scarf on hand. I know that sounds odd, but it reminds me of my mom and grandma. I always used to play in their scarf drawers (they both had one) and truly my grandmother Elizabeth Lenore (who both Elston and Gable’s middle names are from) wore the headscarf like all the movie stars of her time.
Anyway, it’s a classic wonderful to always have in your drawers no matter what.
