Trying Out The Bodysuit: Was It Worth It?
I think there are two sides to wearing this comeback piece that is the bodysuit. The great part is that you can move freely because you have a built in tuck, the perfect outfit security. On the other hand, we are taking a step back in the world of panty lines which have been such a hard hurdle to get people away from! I have 2 bodysuits now, this one, and a simple striped one from Madewell. I really love the look with high waist jeans, but also love how they can help save you from constantly fixing your outfit or if your jeans aren’t completely high rise. This sequin bodysuit I’m showing you today was the best hybrid because it is a slight thong fit, so no panty lines, but completely comfortable! I love this piece for work because it’s adding a little sparkle to the typical work day outfit, and you can really wear this in any kind of work pant. The only caveat with this specifically, and it’s very specific, is that I have a long torso, so the bottom part could have been lower. I wanted the blousey top part to flow and blouse out of the pant a little and it’s like I needed a little more fabric… or for it to be longer. Otherwise, I am loving this bodysuit and I highly recommend it for every occasion from the office, to date night, to just a casual pair of denim shorts once the weather gets warm. So my conclusion is that the bodysuit is definitely worth trying but try and make it a thong one. They aren’t anymore uncomfortable than an actual thong and it’s just worth the no underwear lines, I mean, for the love… STOP with the underwear lines… [pro-tip: if you say thongs are too uncomfortable and you would rather just have lines, go, run, to Target. Their Gillian and O’Malley and Xhileration brands make the MOST comfortable cotton thongs. They are my favorite and a true testament is that I wore them for both of my entire pregnancies when no underwear is comfortable. These are. Anyway, try a bodysuit!
I included a bunch of bodysuit options below in my ‘shop the post’ widget below all the pics. Most are under $20 and a great addition to a work outfit under a blazer, or with a pair of jeans for the weekend.
