Two Fashion Tips for the Colder Months

We’ve put away our sequins until next holiday. The deep gem tone colors are starting to feel too heavy for our mindset. And we’re starting to wear our lounge and sweatpants a lot more than we swore we would at the beginning of the chill in the air. Yet, it’s freezing out and we don’t feel cute, but we want to look it! Here are some quick ideas to refresh any outfit!

We all know I love a sock, but I do because it adds an element of interest. I love sheer socks for the look, but when you want something warmer, you can go chunky too. I love any kind of sweater or knit sock that has a texture to it. You can also grab any fun open toe shoe you want, and put a sock with it. It seems like fall is so very structured with style, holiday has it’s own rules and outfits people want to stick to, but in the new year when it’s cold and dreary; this is where anything goes and it’s time to just have fun throwing outfits together. This is when you should add a fun sock.

Lastly, when it comes to colors, I navigate towards lighter hues. I love a full winter white outfit, or even monochromatic with taupe or beige. A favorite barrel jean of mine are these Everlane ones, the fit is really flattering and comfortable. The jeans do not cut off and hurt anywhere and are high rise so wearing crop sweatshirts would be so cute and fun right now.
