This skirt is one of my absolute favorites and I’ve been wanting to post an outfit around it really since before I even had a blog of my own. I purchased it when I was working for Anthropologie in NYC and I remember when it came in through shipment. It went immediately on a mannequin and was a beautiful addition to a display called Bespoke (for those not as familiar: every floorset, each area in the store is given a name, a theme, and a story that ties together the clothes that are filed there as well as the decor and art). I stared at it every day and then eventually used my addicting amazing discount and it was all mine. At the time, I felt like midi skirts (in my travels) were a staple item of the Anthro girls, but didn’t see it in every day mainstream just yet. It was also fall and getting cold in NYC, so I wore boots with this skirt the whole time I wore it in New York; I was a New Yorker, I was not going to dance around the city in 3/4 inch heels! Anyway, needless to say I’m obsessed with this skirt, I plan on keeping it literally forever and hope my granddaughter will wear it. The rich vibrant colors and the way they just bleed together remind me of a water color painting. I have played with a couple different tops but with a pattern this rich, really like wearing the simple bright tee. I spiced this look up a little and decided to include a pattern mix, because I love pairing stripes which are so structured, with anything that is patterned or abstract.
I hope everyone has a great Monday! Don’t forget to enter the giveaway in the post below, and check out the other amazing bloggers!
