You might have gotten the impression that I love luxury handbags, I just do. Over the years, I’ve found ways to shop the smartest when it comes to them. In some ways, it’s just like a car, there is no need to get the brand new, the older ones have just as much value and beauty. And in Chanel’s case, the older, the better. Don’t get me wrong, splurging on a brand new to treat yourself for a milestone, gift, or something special is wonderful and everyone should do so at one point in their lives. But I do love shopping luxury brands through consignment or someone I know. I’ve gotten handbags a ton of different ways, through local consignment stores, eBay and their authentication process (post HERE), TheRealReal, and Rebagg. But today, I’m telling you about my friend who has her own curated shop of vintage luxury handbags.

My friend Tracee owns A Curated Closet, a collection of authentic luxury handbags and accessories. She has a shop of items in stock, but she can also take any special orders of items you might be coveting and potentially find it for you. I currently have her on the lookout for a multicolored LV makeup bag… it’s one of my favorite designs and since it’s older, only made in older styles… and hard to find! I also carried this vintage Gucci clutch in New York for Fashion Week this year. I love old vintage items a lot of times because it’s different from what everyone has today, but it’s made well and usually holds up over time.
