Winter White Outfits
In case you haven’t caught on by now, white is a year round color. And in fact, one of the most flattering colors to wear. It’s hands down my favorite color for everything from white jeans, sweaters, to accessories, down to even nail polish.
There is something about winter white outfits that look classic and crisp, and no matter what, will brighten an outfit. Now that white shoe boots and any kind of white shoes are in, now is the time to revel in this color in every form.
I suggest for sure investing in a pair of white denim. My two favorites are from Madewell and Gap. You can wear white denim through the winter with camel colored shoe boots or even grey over the knee boots. I usually like pairing white with either a cream for a soft monochromatic look, or camel for winter.
Today, I found a really pretty sky-colored slouchy sweater and layered it with a mock-neck (on major sale). This is an example of an outfit that can be worn in the dead of winter with a grey boot to brighten up a dreary day, and then into spring while it’s still chilly! That’s one way to think and plan out your outfits to be able to be stretched for more use. White oxford shirts are always a classic with either a crisp pair of dark denim, or a white pair of jeans where you can then accessorize with color.
My faux fur backpack is from Zara. The one (of many) thing about Zara, is that I absolutely love their bags and accessories. It’s my go-to for a chic bag or cute shoes that are inexpensive but completely on trend. They’ve got some really great bags right now that will go perfect with holiday outfits and dressier occasion outfits! You can shop the rest of my outfit below in the ‘shop the post’ widget!
I know this post is all about the glory of winter white outfits, which is kind of the opposite of Halloween.
I hope everyone has a great Halloween! We will be taking the kids trick-or-treating in our neighborhood tonight and probably trying to dodge as much sugar as possible by using parent tricks. Our kids stay up late anyway, we definitely don’t need an influx of sugar to extend that! I’m not dressing up this year, which as my favorite holiday, I just don’t enjoy it when I’m wrangling kids and usually always have one hanging on me… like always. I would rather dress them up in whatever they want, and maybe I’ll dress up again in a few years! Until then, I included a few old school Halloween pics for fun from waaaay back in the day of some of my bests. You’ll see where I was a bald Britney Spears (head got cut off in the pic), Nancy Kerrigan, a non-politically correct Indian, and my all time favorite cabbage patch kid. This was not just any CPK, at the time, it was a beloved sorority sister’s doll that was pretty much decapitated but she had it on our sorority hall anyway. RIP Tina.
