Winter Layering
You know how to get the most use out of your wardrobe? Layer it all on! Ok but for real, start to add a layer where you wouldn’t normally do so. A great way to start this is with vests. You can’t go wrong because it works without trying too hard. Then when you get used to it, get creative. Add a tee over a dress, belt a cardigan, wear an oxford under everything. I think the reason I love dressing for the colder months so much over spring and summer, is because I get to layer. And in that layering, I get creative. I like to do things that wouldn’t normally be thought of at first glance. Stay tuned for the rest of the winter season, I will probably abuse this concept and become out of control.
I partnered with Macy’s to bring you a classic neutral outfit. Each piece can be worn on it’s own, or with other items. I would probably add a white cable knit sweater and throw it over this dress for a different look. And this shearling vest can be worn over anything! One thing I actually forgot and meant to wear is a belt over the vest at my waist. Which obviously if you follow me, you know I overdo this concept as well and attempt to belt everything.
