If you are a regular reader, you know how obsessed I am with white for winter. Let me distinguish the difference in winter white, and bright white. Winter white is somewhat of an off-white, kind of a cream color. This looks amazing with other winter white colors and pops of vibrant colors like a red or even looks great with gold. Regular white is what used to be the faux pas fashion rule to stay away from after Labor Day. That is no longer relevant because a bright white looks good year round, you just have to know what to pair it with. The bright white looks best with greys, silver, or colors like wine and a dark green. Stay with winter colors, you can pair your navy, pinks, and yellows with white in the spring! If you don’t have a chunky white cable knit sweater (probably best in a winter white), you need to get one. This is great for a crisp look and can be worn with anything all winter. I love layering any kind of plaid and this one is the perfect pattern for the holiday season. My jeans here are a cream white, which might not actually translate in pictures, but you can also wear a bright white jean with a cream top… that’s ok to do!
For my Atlanta-based readers, I have a treat for you! I recently got amazing feedback on instagram from my picture with this duffle bag and suitcase. My luggage is from Leather and Luggage Depot in Atlanta and will be going out of business through the end of the year. This means Sale! Everything will be 25-35% off in store. This is the perfect place to get leather gifts this year. You’ll be able to find things ranging from suitcases to laptop cases, backpacks, duffles, wallets, and more. They monogram it too, which can be done while you are there! If you are an Atlanta local or will be down here any time this holiday season, I recommend stopping in. They have a cute story and is somewhere I love supporting. They are a family owned and operated business with transformations along the way and a following of loyal customers. Owners David and Gill Green are the sweetest people and feel that it is time to retire, after running the business for 25 years. They have seen their store and area of town transform so much since starting their business in West Midtown. Same with the way they used to run their business. They used to run their ads in the yellow pages and take orders over the phone!
In my mind this is the absolute perfect place for a quality gift for a husband, parents or in-laws, or even yourself for that matter. Luggage is something you invest in as well, so why not get it at a deal? I went down one day with the kids, hung out, and picked the greatest set. I ended up surprising Robert for our anniversary, as the third year is the ‘leather year’. This set will be very special to us because the bags are quality and something we will use for many years. I love supporting small and local business where there is a story behind your purchase. I was able to get our duffle bag monogrammed in just 20 minutes while Jackson ran around the store and Elston ate snacks in the stroller. So in other words, no catastrophe thank goodness. I went with both of our initials and then B for our last name, and think it adds such a nice touch. Think of how many things you can get monogrammed and how perfect that is for a gift. I am from the south and although I don’t claim to be very ‘southern’, I do love a good monogram!
The sale will start tomorrow on Black Friday, and will go until the end of the year or until their inventory runs out.
I am obsessed with this bag! what a perfect weekender. I may have to add that to my Christmas list!
Yes, Chanel, we can easily add it to your new stylish luggage!
I love this look and I love whites for winter.
Thanks Katie xo!
