Cute Workout

Every now and then a brand or outfit comes around that speaks to me. In this case, it was the brand Ideology. I jumped at the idea of working with them because of their campaign #NewYearSameMe. And it’s not intended to come off as lazy and not wanting to get out and change your life. Trust me, I’m all about the hustle and going after what you want, or even what you want to be. But their message is trying to get across that you shouldn’t create resolutions that are impossible to uphold and they just stress you out because you aren’t doing it for yourself. They want to spread the energy that you do you… and love who you are. This is so in line with who I am and what I’m trying to do. My New Year’s resolutions are not resolutions but goals. I have many goals I want to hit for this year when it comes to the blog, the kids, and incorporating a healthy lifestyle when it comes to our food. And that is a whole other topic, but I don’t want to be a slave to sugar. I do want to thrive on real food and be the most healthy version of myself because that is really the only thing my kids need right now. So as I go off on this tangent, my main point is that I want to teach my kids and daughter especially, to be authentic.

So when it comes to the whole starting a new year with a healthy routine… I am going to still be exactly what I want. I’m probably going to eat a lot of cookies and I’m definitely going to wear cute clothes. I think it’s safe to say those are two things I cannot live without. Although I don’t go to the gym to workout (I go to blog while the babes go to the play area and no one sits on my laptop while I work), this phase of life is my complete workout. Most days I can’t wear skirts or even jeans. I do need workout clothes and I’m obsessed with finding cute ones. Also right now, I’m really into Macy’s (where my workout outfit is from). This isn’t even sponsored, I’m serious. They have great sales and deals and their Free People selection is huge.

I hope you try this mantra with me. Stay who you are but make sure you are the best version. Here’s an example you might be able to get behind. As I eat tons of cookies in this new year, I’ll be eating ones that I make from scratch, use less sugar, or play around with the types of sweet I can do (like maple syrup), and even try to sneak in some zucchini… or whatever the hell else will go and not be detected.
