One clothing item most people can agree on for fall is a plaid shirt. No one does plaid better than Madewell in my opinion. They are known for their popovers (the plaids that only button halfway down) and have great ones that are longer in back, for a look you most likely want to go for. I went for a darker denim as my outer layer, to go with the season, and love detailing a necklace over a collared shirt. And don’t let anyone tell you to put your white jeans away, you will be wearing these all winter. Don’t worry, I will tell you how… you’ll have to stick around this season.

Madewell is the perfect rustic chic look and has every classic staple item you will ever need. One item they have a major focus on this season is their high waist jeans. YES! They are back! And for myself, these are just considered my normal rise jeans, as low rise is just out these days. I officially love the mom jeans and these are so stretchy and sleek, they won’t let you bulge or get muffiny. You will be seeing this style everywhere, and you can wear them regularly, not highlighting the high waist. Or you can tuck into them and rock the look! This will work for tees, light v-necks, some half tucks… so many options. So in completing this look, I wanted to try something unexpected with plaid, and instead of the classic shoe boot, try a different shoe. (this one is on sale btw) This shoe style, color, and texture is perfect for fall as we transition the weather. What is great about it, is that it’s a comfortable block heel, completely on trend, and you will be able to wear this come spring and summer. (Shoes are important so when investing, know how you can use and stretch them)

If you are in Atlanta this weekend, come stop by Lenox Mall’s Bloomingdales! I will be there for a makeup party, it will be fun and I would love to see friendly faces!
