North Georgia Premium Outlets: Gifts for the Home

Welcome to a 4 part series of gift ideas for you local Atlantans. Do NOT forget about North Georgia Premium Outlets. Sometimes I feel like people do, but take it from me, the drive up 400 is way better than braving the insane traffic that is Lenox and Perimeter right now! It will 100% take you the same amount of time no matter where you live, that is how easy it is to get in and out of NGPO!

Today we are talking about gifts for the home. Here’s the deal, everyone loves decorating their home. But sometimes life gets in the way and they forget or just don’t have the budget because other things come first. This is why I love gifting items for the home, because it’s heartfelt and every time you use the item or look at it, you think of that person! My advice is to just have a feel for their style (you don’t want to get your style, you want to flow with theirs) by seeing pictures of their house, asking what color scheme they love in their home, or even going to their Pinterest page! When looking for gifts for the home, it’s a great idea to stay with aesthetically pleasing because that is usually last on someone’s to do list than just something they need. But if they are asking for things they actually need like tools, baking supplies, or even lamps, then by all means get them what they need! But when you gift it, there is the ability to have it be a little more elevated than if they had to run out and get it themselves. That is why I love gifts for the home so much because it’s the ability to have nice every day things!

An idea I wanted to throw out there is picture frames! In this digital age, it seems like no one prints pictures anymore because we share them on social media and it’s such a pain to print them from our phone! And not to mention frames are seriously expensive, that is definitely last on a to-do list. But imagine if someone bought you frames! This is my preference, and I always think of the person that got it for me. We registered for frames for our wedding, and it was so nice to already have frames ready to go when I finally make myself print pictures. Part of my New Year’s resolution is home decor and a huge aspect of that is to print out more moments of the kids. We barely have any pictures of Elston around our home and I literally think about it every day!

A project Robert and I started was a twist on the use of frames… and our kids’ artwork. We have started a gallery wall in our bedroom strictly dedicated to the kids. It will be colorful and fun shots of them along with their artwork. There are some amazing paintings and instead of having it hide in a drawer and I can’t bear to throw it away, we are going to frame it and have it become a huge part of our home decor. I obviously feel very strongly about frames haha, so if you are looking for ideas, they are always a good idea! I found the best frames at Pottery Barn Outlet, but also the best deal. Everything in the store is buy one get one free! I figured what better way to get things for the home, when you automatically get another one out of it! I found these frame packages and grabbed two of them, and literally only paid for one! This store is perfect for items like this that you need multiples of. We will also be gifting frames of the kids and their artwork to grandparents as well.

Another idea for gifts for the home are towels. Like really nice towels that are fluffy and will last. I am talking from experience, everyone needs towels and wants nice towels, but you typically don’t spend time or budget buying nice ones for yourself. Find out the color scheme of someone’s bathroom and gift a towel set! I found the greatest store ever, and they had the best prices on sheets and towels. The sheets are softer and better quality than ones I just bought at Target, and the prices are better than BBB! I grabbed a set for our spare bathroom that one day I hope my kids will actually use so they move out of ours… so I’m slowly getting it prepped lol. These towels are the big and thick kind, 4 huge bath towels, 4 washcloths, and a hand towel for $48, which I’m certain you cannot do anywhere else.

Other stores worth shopping at NGPO for home items:

Kitchen Connection – perfect for random items the baker needs

Le Creuset – known for their colorful dutch ovens of all sizes! Everything is 30% off right now.

Williams Sonoma – they had heavy duty gold and silver spatulas, so pretty and perfect to gift. They honestly have everything!

Restoration Hardware – I didn’t know this was here but really good deals on mirrors and couches if you normally love RH but it’s not normally in your price range

Stay tuned for Part 2, 3, & 4 where I’ll be covering gifts for her, him, and the kids! If you go to NGPO this weekend, grab a coupon booklet at the Guest Services in the Food Court. They have % off codes for select stores and is really helpful. I got Robert a full outfit and got $25 taken off the entire thing because I used the code! You’ll see what that outfit is next week, and if you saw my IG stories, you probably already know!
