The Shirtdress Is Always A Good Idea

The shirtdress is one of the most classic clothing items and a lot of people are scared of it! You don’t have to be, it can actually be one of the most safe outfits and most comfortable. Since it’s somewhat masculine with the neckline, I like to pair mine with feminine details like a dainty bag or over the knee boots. Another great way to wear it though is like a tunic with skinny jeans. You can belt it or let it hand down, and even throw a suede or moto jacket over it. It’s safe because it’s long enough to make everyone feel comfortable and won’t hug too tight!

This shirtdress that I’m wearing is from LillaP and such a great pattern since all the colors make it easy to accessorize. This can be worn with shoe boots or over the knee of any color! I tried it with a vest over it all for an added layer of warmth as well as putting my trusty lace turtleneck underneath. I let it poke out a little bit at the top and out of the sleeves just because lace is a fun accent and I love layering in general… duh.
