Whyyyy is it so hot still? Well, I could get into global warming, but I’ll just give you some options on how to get your fall/winter fix in your clothes while we are all still sweating. When I saw this little multi-colored sweater at the front of the 5th Ave Anthropologie store, I took a double take. I love sweaters like this half sweater that you can layer. A short sleeved Anthropologie sweater is perfect to wear as the warm weather leaves and we get into cooler months. You can pair this with denim shorts and shoe boots honestly, and then put it with jeans later. I love the chunky knit and the thick cowl neck, but the sweater is loose enough to layer a nice thin turtleneck under it in cold weather. The sweater has so many colors in it, that you can accessorize with anything.

My Favorite Transitional Anthropologie Sweater

On this morning in New York, I took Naomi over to Stumptown Coffee in the Ace Hotel. She told me it was truly the best coffee she had ever had. Then her best friend vouched for her writing me a message saying ‘She would know, she drinks a ton of coffee’… so there ya go! The morning was crisp and slow, so I ordered it hot which was a nice change from iced everything all summer here in the south. We sipped and strolled, then came up upon a bagel place and got bagels and cream cheese to go, and continued walking back to our hotel. I love mornings like that, especially when I can walk anywhere. I wish I could walk to breakfast at home, that’s just not possible in the Atlanta suburbs. Maybe one day I’ll open up my own coffeeshop!

Under this Anthropologie sweater, I layered one of my favorite balloon sleeve sweaters. I just love that trend, and thought the wrist detail would look good under suck a bulky sweater. My boots are the Marc Fisher crocodile riding boots, and I’ve wanted them for so long. I saw these on a showroom visit in February, and thought about them until they came out this fall. I dreamt about this look with my paperbag pants tucked into these boots for awhile as well, for something a little different. I’ve been wearing these pants for awhile and they are still very much here to stay. Anything that is high waist with pleats would classify. I like the leg to be a straight leg as much as possible (rather than wide leg) so it will flatter. You can definitely do the pleats if the waist is high, so I encourage trying any kind of pant like this. I would normally say don’t go baggy on the top as well, but I was feeling this outfit like this and it worked out.

So, when it comes to this Gucci Belt, I found it on Amazon and thought I would try it. It’s a dupe for sure, and it’s just ok. I hadn’t invested in an actual Gucci belt yet, and I can’t tell you why. They are everywhere, they are chic, they finish an outfit. I guess I invested on other things that would take me further, however, this belt is here to stay, so it’s probably still a good idea. You can shop my dupe along with all outfit details at the bottom of this post if you’re interested!
