I love doing posts like these to get use out of a certain item. And in this case, it’s this really cute striped sleeve South Moon Under sweater. It’s got all the fall colors and can go with anything. I started out pairing it with a pair of AGolde grey skinny jeans and decided to have fun with the shoe. I saw these on the SMU site and just thought they embodied fall. They are a cognac color, faux snakeskin, so although they are open toe, they are meant for this season. And when it comes to platform styles like this, it can look so good with a sock. I love the socks and shoe trend because there are so many cute socks out there. South Moon Under carries a few great denim brands, my favorite being Levi’s but I wanted to try the AGolde brand. And FYI, all South Moon Under jeans are 20% until October 20th!

Everyone should have a grey jean, I love the color and they can go with anything from browns to blacks, and any color in between. This outfit can be worn on the weekend to lounge around or out at a friend’s house, still put together, but casual enough.

Next, I wanted to try the on-trend leopard midi skirt. There’s actually an instagram account dedicated to the leopard midi skirt, it has 10,000 followers. So maybe this will entice you to give it a try… This one is the one I wore to walk down the runway for the Noon to Night fashion show at the Avalon last month. I love how it’s animal print, but more grey than the typical browns and blacks. When paired with the sweater, it’s a fun pattern mix, and then I threw in mustard tights for fun. I would also wear a grey shoeboot or black pump with this outfit too. This is a great option for workwear, and then heading out for the night.

I wore this sweater non-stop all last weekend, and that’s where I thought of the idea of pairing it for day to night because I wore it truly for all our activities that weekend. My sweet Elston wanted to come along with me for a few work shoots and she fell asleep in the car on the way (at 6pm), but woke up so sweet and snuggly. It’s always nice to have her by my side, even when doing work things because I love involving her as well as setting a good example that we work, then we play!
